A Future of Hope for the Children of Pin Que
A Project of Hospitality and Sustainability to Offer a Dignified Life to Those in Need
In the village of Pin Que, Myanmar, many orphaned or abandoned children live in extreme conditions. The Sisters of Providence provide them with shelter, but adequate structures and a sustainable project are needed to secure their future. Through peanut cultivation and processing, the goal is to create economic self-sufficiency and offer a safe haven.
Pin Que: A Village of Suffering and Hope
Pin Que, located near Mong Khat, is a village marked by poverty and the continuous arrival of people fleeing military and religious persecution. The lack of economic resources and social values makes life difficult for many, especially children. In this context, the Sisters of Providence welcome orphans and abandoned children, offering them a safe refuge, but conditions remain precarious, and urgent help is needed.
A Project of Sustainability and Inclusion
Beyond providing shelter, the Sisters aim to establish an agricultural activity that can sustain the community. The surrounding land is suitable for peanut cultivation, which could be processed into oil and sold to help fund the children’s needs. However, the available space is limited, and collaboration with local families could expand production and provide employment opportunities for the villagers.
A Dream That Can Become Reality
To make this project a reality, new structures are needed: a house for the Sisters, a boarding facility for the children, and a warehouse for peanut collection and processing, with an estimated cost of €300,000. Additionally, machines for oil production are required, costing around €5,000. Every contribution can help transform this dream into a concrete reality.
